I took the handle off and set the blade on the jig to fix the rounded bevel. After that I did the regular hand sharpening and polishing routine and polished it up using Oohira Suita stone. Ura is perfectly flat and polished now. The suiken-ya (professional sharpener) did quite a good job, so it was quite flat from the beginning. The smaller one hasn't been touched yet, but I will when I find time. Polished and oiled handle for the larger size. Great ebony handle. The box with old style Kanjis. |
