All Yokoyama plane blades are forged using pine charcoal. Charcoal smithing is the best because the low heat prevent the carbon evaporation. But at the same time it is the most expensive method as well, so not many blacksmiths forge this way. Some blacksmiths claims their planes are charcoal smithed but in reality gas forge smithed.

It comes in a specially ordered 3 sun box, signed and stamped.

The dai doen't have the osae-boh installed yet, in case the buyer wants to use it as a single blade plane (you can just plug the hole). The hole to insert the bar is already drilled, so if you want the osae you can easily make it into nimai-ba style.

Osae is made by Yokoyama-san himself. Checkout the rough Urasuki, it is definitely not by Uchihashi-san. Uchihashi-san's job is neater(^^). I've never seen an osae made by Yokoyama-san before.

The "Nimura" stamp for the best of the best dai from Nimura-san. Dad says "Ni" dai is good enough, so he doen't bother to ordre "Nimura" dai, but since this one is such a special one, he decided to go for the best.
