All Yokoyama plane blades are forged using pine charcoal! Charcoal smithing is the best because the low heat prevent the carbon evaporation! But at the same time it is the most expensive method as well, so not many blacksmiths forge this way.

These are in cardboard box, but you could have it in kiri box as well with a bit of extra charge. Ask me for the price when ordering. These really do deserve kiri box, but Yokoyama-san is probably trying to keep the price as low as possible so that more can afford it.
